Richard Shapiro, a former partner of accounting firm Ernst  and  Young, exits federal court after being indicted on tax evasion and conspiracy charges in New York May 30, 2007. Shapiro and his fellow defendants, who pleaded not guilty at U.S. District court in Manhattan, are accused of creating and marketing tax shelters at the 'Big Four' accounting firm from 1998 through 2004 based on fraudulent scenarios that allowed wealthy individuals to reduce the federal taxes they would have to pay.
